Dorm Room Television is a show structured to entertain as well as inform the audience on various topics that range from music, fashion, and culture to discussing topics that raise awareness and educates. Created by Sharee Hereford, on August 2, 2008 she had a vision where she wanted to merge college lifestyle with media and entertainment. With a camera and a dream she was able to create a show, which was able to speak and communicate with the targeted audience college students as well as anyone who watches the show.
Dorm Room Television has become a steady moving entity in which college students everywhere can watch the show and relate. Students can become involved with the show without leaving their dorm room. Aired online Dorm Room Television is now a full show, which has segments that speak on a many topics ranging from voting to relationships on campus. There is no topic that is off topic when it comes to Dorm Room Television because it strives to stick to the goal of keeping the show fresh and interesting.”
Being that the show was started at the University at Buffalo college campus more students watched the show and wanted to be on camera, so to make it more appealing to students we decided to cover on campus events in which Dorm Room Television 360 was born also known as D.R.TV 360 a spin off of the regular segments which covers different events on campus and gives the students and viewers a chance to feel even more connected to the show.”
Staying true to the music and entertainment side Dorm Room Blog, Dorm Room Music, and Dorm Room Events was created. Dorm Room Television is a lifestyle it’s the media, the music, the news, the clothing, there is no one component that we don’t give you. Dorm Room Television stays true to appealing to the college audience as our talent and team is made up of college students. Everything from filming, editing, hosting, writing, and every other aspect of the show is in some form directly connected with college students.”
